Jewelry Trends in 2005/6

Jewelry has made a welcome return in the last few seasons after those unexciting minimal days of tiny diamond ear studs.

The credit for helping jewelry regain its stature goes to fashion house Dior, especially with its massive metaphorical jewelry and extensive long chandelier earrings show for Fall 2005/6. The show featured some exotic colors in jewels those stand perfect for massive dress rings among Morganite, amethyst, tsarvorites, and aquamarine mixed together with diamonds of all feature.

Of late, Talismanic jewelry, with its healing and sentimental properties, has been able to draw a lot of attention. Semi precious stones like quartz, blue lace agate and citrine on the other hand are deemed favorites for their therapeutic properties.

The pearl is doing especially well of late. Check out the natural freshwater pearl pendants. The pearls are embedded in natural shell while the pendant is carved from the shell to add in the pearl. The contrasting texture creates an interesting and natural ambience that is perfect for casual wear as well as ethnic styling.

The Pearlsplus freshwater pearl and Swarovski crystal bridal barrette or Tress Topper below is perhaps the most beautiful way of dressing for a wedding or a special evening occasion as well as Christmas hair styles.

The everlasting fashion of wearing 2 or 3 necklaces wrapped and twisted together continues though. A strand of Biwa stick pearls wrapped with round freshwater pearls and seed pearls then intermingled with rough, carved natural fine cut crystals or semi precious stones is still doing great.

The lovely affordable cubic zirconium pendants are too good to be missed. Offering the look of the royal diamond but with a price that is not as high, the cubic zirconium pendants are still going great guns.
